I completed the online request for a free car insurance quote. Within a minute someone from the office phoned me to complete the quote. This conversation on the phone lasted 42 minutes and I was very irretable. The gentleman eventualy gave me a quote and it was way more than my current one. Then he tried again and the quote came down, but still above my current premium.
He then called his manager and after a long discussion he managed to drop my quote to R10 below my current premium. So what is the use of the R400 payout if you cannot match first time round. Outsurance also asked me during the interview what I am paying currently. This is also not correct as they need to come up with the best price.
So no payout. I think that Outsurance only wants to get you involved and with that hoping that they sign you up. if you ask me.
