I found an 'incidental credit fee' on my statement for R57 on 5 July. When I phoned the call centre, they said that this is because FNB let a transaction go through my account but there was not enough funds. These charges were not noted anywhere when I opened the account.
So in short, FNB let's your account be overdrawn (without your permission) and then charges you R57 for it!
The solution is that I have to go into my bank (what is the point of internet banking or the call centre) to have this changed... I never asked them to let transactions go through if there is not enough funds. But now I have to waste more time going into the bank.
I want a refund and my account to be as it was when I opened it.
