I made the terrible mistake of leaving my last bank for First National Bank late last year.
In the last 3 months my Platinum (chipped) card has been cloned or skimmed on various occasions.
Each time I have the inconvenience of having my card stopped and having to pay for a new card.
My banking charges cover alerts each time a transaction is made with my card YET I still DONT always receive an alert when flights are booked by a Zimbabwean national that cloned my card. I have to go through my statements to find this myself.
What benefit is there with banking with a bank that calls themselves a leading financial banking institution when their security is useless.
Why should I have to pay for a new card each time?
I would highly recommend to anyone out there thinking of changing their bank to FNB to take a minute and realise the grass is definitely not greener on the other side. Stay where you are!!!
