ABSA Banking System Towards Temporary Residents

I have been having issues withdrawing funds that is being deposited into my Absa bank account for the past 48hours now. Am a foreign national with valid visa to reside in South Africa. Have also been a customer of Absa for the past 3years now. My visa expired and i went to the Davenport branch in Durban to re-submit my Fica documents. I was told i should be able to access my funds within 8hours. It's been 48hours now and nothing is been done. A lady called me to tell me absa temporary residence department is having problems with backlog. I still do not know what this means has other banks do no do this. I have decided to withdraw all my funds from my account and close it once this sorted.

Absa is a mess, if you're a temporary resident in SA reading this, stay away from ABSA.
