So sick and tired of their poor service

On the 7th Aug, I requested a settlement amount and confirmation email for my card account.
Got a verbal figure and was told they would email me the written confirmation on the 7th Aug 2013. To date NO response from them (16/8/2013). The original settlement figure was only valid for 5 days. Have sent 3 emails requesting they send the details (8/8, 12/8, 14/8). My wife contacted them twice by phone. Held on for 21 minutes on the 086 number, no answer. Phoned the credit card div again today (took 11 minutes to get through) before the call was answered. My wife explained AGAIN what was needed. Got the standard response of it will be processed and put in the system. They once again said they would send the email.
6 minutes later, my wife gets an SMS stating that she is overdue on paying her monthly account amount
of R440!
Incredible that I managed to get settlement details and emails from ABSA and STD Bank within 24 hours.
Whats the point of call centres if they cant answer the phone within 20 minutes?
Why should I have to go through such exasperation when trying to get such a simple thing done?
My stress levels have gone through the roof!!!
