Think twice about insuring with MiWay

When switching our Motor insurance to MiWay, they sell you on all sorts of tag lines like, per pay over 99% of claims and that they have the quickest claim turn around compared to other insurance companies. Don't believe a word they say, I reported a claim on the 16th of July an indecent where my car mounted the curb and resulted in a cracked oil sump and further subsequent damage to the car was a seized engine. I have a report from Audi saying that the cracked sump was due to impact and MiWay are claiming that this is not the case and have reported that it looks like they will reject the claim. Its now the 17th August, I have been with out my car for over a month while they 'get round' to assessing the vehicle and I am now to date still waiting for them to give final feedback with their final decision. It is totally unacceptable that the claim assessment has taken so long and that I am still waiting on a decision. The service has been slow and I will be taking this to the ombudsman if the claim is finally rejected. It is most certainly a valid claim and this is why we pay insurance in the first place to cover for accidents like these! This leaves me bitterly disappointed!
