We had a house hold burglary while we were on leave last week Thursday. Luckily the alarm was set and the armed response did react. But the still got away with quite a lot of electronic and valuable content. I reported the claim on Monday and was help by a very helpful Anel Bornman. Our last problem was in 1994 and we have no claim on the excisting policy for the last 3 years. I was about to get a No Claim bonus. At 6 oclock this evening I was phoned by an assessor. He need a 2 hour appointment with me to do an assessment. I told him I've been on leave for the last 2 weeks and we need to do this tommorrow or even on Friday, because I will back at work on Monday. I was not happy with his attitude and the time this is taking to get sorted. I lost it. We just went through the trauma of invaders invading our public domain and now this will only be assessed a week later? Then ithe assessor need to report and heaven knows when this will be settled? Every month we pay our premium and to be handled like this is not acceptable. (With the exception of Anel Bornman). You are welcome to do the assessment tommorrow or Friday. Please sort this out.
