For almost 2 months now, and guess whose bank account is being debited with the costs - over R5, 000 in the last week or so... My bank account. I am the customer, and I am paying for the transactions as the bank appears not to be able to stop the. I have signed at least 3 affidavits swearing that my card has been and the transactions are not mine, but they keep letting the my money.
And even when I'm assured that I will NOT be debited, my bank account is debited, and when I query this, I'm assured that the debit will be reversed. But it's not. So now I'm out of pocket while the continue happily.
I've sent 3 emails to the people in the last 24 hours and NO-ONE has bothered getting back to me.
I would warn anyone away from having any cards with this bank if they can't stop a card after 2 months. Incompetence. Again. One of the reasons I switched to FNB. And guess what Standard Bank, FNB also answer the phone instead of sending their customers around call centres.
