In December 2012 my pensioner mother was contacted by Joey Gordon from the call centre with a ABSA Life proposal for seniors to cover for accidents/incidents and hopitilasion. My mother informed Joey to speak to myself in order to activate the policy. Joey agreed to forward the policy schedule and acceptance letter within a specified period of time. Immediately everything was put in place to do the deduction of R104, 52 (Policy 6608200816), but after ample calls by myself and my mother we have still not had any joy in getting the documentation. They have even agreed to forward it to my e-mail address, but never produced. My mother has gone to the ABSA branch for assitance - no luck. I have tried to phone the claims dept - doesn't seem to exist. I have asked for help with our company's banker! All I want at this stage, is a refund of the deducted premiums for a policy that doesn't exist! Imagine what would happen if I tried to claim if something had happen to my mother?
