In march i changed to FNB. i didnt get chance to go into ABSA to close my account. i know for a fact that there was still money in when i stopped using it. i went to close my account on friday and withdraw the remaining money. to my amazement i got told to pay R3.02 in by this rude customer service guy. i asked where my money had gone and he told me, bank charges (i had a transact account) and internet banking. i have complained m, any time about my internet banking that never worked but never the less i had to once again pay for a service i never got. i gave up the fight about the money that was in the account and just wanted to leave. i then asked now what happens with the 2c because they dont amke 2c and i definately dont have... so he said well you owe R3.02 and you need to make a plan to get 2c. I MEAN REALLY 2C AFTER MY MONEY WAS TAKEN AFTER I HAVENT USED THE ACCOUNT!!!???!!! absa is a rip off and i would recommend anyone reading this that FNB is better.
