I Logged an insurance claim with ABSA home owner insurance on 2/May/2013. An assessor contacted me on 16th May to check the damage etc, since I could not wait for ABSA to assess the damage as this will breach the security of the house, I proceeded with the repair/replacement and I forwarded the contact details and invoice to the Assessor as the Assessor said he will get all the info from the repair company. A month passed and I got no feedback or update from ABSA.
On June 19, I contacted ABSA again for feedback and update on my claim status but I got a response saying to contact claims consultant.
On same day (June 19), I contacted ABSA customer service for status and they said that the query has been forwarded to Home insurance division.
On July 7th, I contacted clamis consultant again about the status but got an out of office reponse again and I mailed the customer service about the status again and they responded with an apology and they will log a complaint.
On July 11 they logged a complaint and gave me a complaint number 2426977.
I am currently overseas and I rely purely on email communication.
Someone in ABSA, please assist as I do not know who else to contact.
