Worthless insurance

We were robbed yesterday and our insurer, Momentum, only paid out R1000 net after excess for a loss that exceeds R6600. We were robbed of a child's stroller/pram. It was standing outside our front door behind a locked gate and wall inside our yard. Momentum argues that because it wasn't locked up inside our house, it isn't covered. So it's ok for robbers to everything from you as long as it's in your yard and not your house.
