Claim approved late _ refusing to extend hire ca

On 1st July 2013 I had to write a complaint on Hellopeter just to get movement on my claim which had been logged on 18th June 2013. In that complaint I expressed dissapointment in being kept in the dark about whatever was happening. In response to this complaint Miway proceeded by swiftly approving the claim and requesting documentation which by that time they should have done already, The claim was approved and repairs authorised speedily which i give Miway credit for. However In the complaint I had raised the fact that the undue delay is going to prejudice my 30 day curtesy vehicle period because we had approx 10 days without any activities happening. Today I raised this through an email to them about the curtesy vehicle period which is coming to an end on 21st July. They are quick to say they are not resposible for the delay so they cannot extend the hire vehicle. I even got an apology from them when I first complained about the delays. The repairer is working fast to finish the job but is a week or so from doing so and iam certain that delays I complained about at inception of this claim are the cause of this situation iam in because they impacted on the repair times.
