After unemployed for 4 months I started a new job on 2 July as a single parent and mother of disabled twins. I am travelling from Ermelo to Roodepoort to my new job on a Monday and go back to Ermelo on a Friday. This result in a cashflow problem with fuel expenses and I asked my new boss for R3000 which he granted. On Wednesday 10th July I phoned ABSA internet banking to reactivate my banking and spoke to Chanel / Chantal. (Ref C00617277) I told her that I am aware of my debit orders which was returned and I know about the admin fee with regards to that, but asked her WHEN will the admin fee goes off my account, which was confirmed with me twice that it will go off on the second last day of the month. Yesterday 11 July when the R3000 was paid into my account, an immediate amount of R1403.40 was deducted off my account!! I attempt to phone the call centre 08600 08600 to speak to her again unsuccessfully. I need this money urgently, I cannot return to work as a result of this, neither buy my children food over the weekend or buy my daughter her necessities for boarding school. ABSA can debit my account on salary date for the admin fee but I need the money URGENTLY to survive.
