I applied for a Platinum Discovery Card for me and my wife, we received the cards and when we tried to do a transaction, it was declined. The Call Centre told me that they are still doing the vetting after making me hold for 20 mins. They could not explain how they issued the card when they were still doing the vetting. In the meanwhile my wife was embarrased while in the queue to pay and the transaction was declined through the incompetence of Discovery.
