Terrible service at standardbank homeloans - just to make a 1 line amendment on my home loan contract is taking over 4 weeks - after 4 weeks of delays the bank still send my lawyers wrong information on the amended contract and and the consultant i dealt with on the phone was of no service at all - she has no clue what the turn arond time is and she has the nerve to tell e to wait another 5 days - this consultant's manager has no decency to talk to me directly - basically refuses to talk to me and gives her a message to tell me to wait for their call. This exactly why all the other banks are giving standard bank a run for their money - honestly! I am definitely considering moving elsewhere. Why would a bank take 6 weeks to amend 1 line on a contract - utter inefficiency and no respect to me as a customer - no decency for the bank to proactively call me to inform me of all the delays. next thing when i call them, i must hold for so so so long for this consultant to chat to their superior. then she is rude and doesnt care that she has actually inconvinienced me - she has no clue what the rule book states, and she & her manager clearly lack the intiative to find a solution
