Deducting double payments every month

My husband and I have just recently taken out insurance with Absa Life on our home.
We signed the contract in June, asking that it only be effective from end of July due to financial reasons.

Since June, they have started deducting a double payment of my account. Not to mention this month, without clearing on my consent, absa life did a double deduction on my husbands policy, of my account. I never signed for my husbands policy to be deducted from my account, as we are married outside of community of property, therefore operate as separate entities.

When I went to Absa to reverse the excess amounts, they refused to do so. Even though it is elegal to deduct fees from a persons account, which they did not sign a debit order for.

I am seriously considering cancelling all of this, as it seems like a never ending problematic story and when a company start of with this kind of poor service, you can be assured that I will take my business elsewhere.
