Good day, i am writing on behalf of my father. he is an old pensioner that receive pension from the state only. he was a policeman for many years. on teusday he discovered ABSA took R2000 from hi PEnsion for a credit card. he does not know this credit card and he has tried many ties this week to speak to ABSA at the branch at clearwater mall and they rudely told him that it is a credit card account he had many years ago. he says this card has been paid many years ago. Surely it is illegal to deduct debt from pension money. he is an old man and receives no other income. the only other amount that has been paid in his account was his other daughters salary becuase she could not use bank account as it was frozen due to card clooning and the money in her account was . i can confrim all of this. please can you see what you can do to help me with this. he cannot pay his rent and they are treatening to kick him out his house.
