Just off the back of my last problem I had with Nedbank. I went into Greenstone on Monday to close two of my accounts. I worked on my profile on Tuesday, paying bills etc. Wednedsay when I try to access my profile they tell me it has been de-activated! Why?! They say it was linked to one of the accounts I closed which does not make sense. That account was only a few years old. The Current account which I originally got the profile on is about 25 years old and is still open! I spent an hour on the phone to the bank as well as at a branch to be told they will have to give me a new profile number! No! I did not make the mistake, I did not request my profile be de-activated so why was it!? I will be going into FNB tomorrow to open an account with them, immediately afterwards I will be going back to Greenstone to close my accounts with Nedbank. If I could only close my Bonds without it costing me a fortune, I would do that too!
