End of April we suffered a terrible break in on our home leaving us devastated. We thought we had a reliable insurance company however we soon came to realise that we have been throwing away money into a insurance company who would do anything not to pay out. We could rather invested those premiums into a sep account and we would not be out of business and pocket as we could have covered our loss ourselves. What did they want? There was forced entry! Did they want my children and partner laying dead to prove it was a break in? How can companies do this? The alarm signaled, the neighbor was at our home, called armed response and police within 3minutes, no armed response would be there in that time, our neighbour signed an affadavit and still alas santam denies its shocking and sad, why should we pay insurance if this is the people that are supposed to give you peace of mind?? Nevermind us an exact month later our neighbour over the road got broken into same situation alarm signal ut not connected to armed response, they are however with outsurance. The assessor came to get statement from us reassessed and paid out. Whats santams problem we have religiously paid premiums. Its daylight.
