I have been in the unfortunate position where my car was repossessed. I managed to get the arrears money paid and went to collect my car however the battery was flat (which I replaced in July 2012) as the storage people nor Wesbank take responsibility for the asset while in storage. I had to replace a battery at a cost of R3 100 and Wesbank shrugs their shoulders and so does the storage people. This is very unfair. Not only am I billed for the storage, my car is damaged, Wesbank is unable to provide me with a detailed lawyers bill in order for me to forward it to the law association to ascertain whether these amounts billed are within the parameters of the industry.

Wesbank, when people are going through tough times, try the Nedbank approach and assist you clients instead of putting nails in the coffin. The more you bill people - the less they are able to recover. Please send me the documentation that states should you repossess my car and then damage it whilst in your possession, I am liable for the costs.

Kindly also explain to Natasha what a detailed account entails. Billing me for lawyers fees should be transparent and not that of a government tender attitude
