You think that ABSA is a large corporation and that when you go to them and leave things in their care it will be safe. Sadely this is not the case. My aunt Valerie Bester had her will drafted by ABSA at the Goodwood Mall branch and it was left in their "safe" custody. When she died on the 17 March 2013 our nightmare began. We went in to ABSA Goodwood branch to notify them of the death and request a copy of the will just after her death. When we completed the forms with ABSA trust at Goodwood Branch we were given a copy of the will. However ABSA trust filed the incorrect Will with the Master, a Will dated 2006. The last WILL is dated 23 Sept 2009. his WIll has been lost by the ABSA Group. We have been given the run around for 4 weeks and still we have no resolution. The Branch Blames the trust Dept, the trust Dept blames the branch. No one is prepared to accept responsiblity.
