My dad recently passed away in a tragic motor accident. Absa Trust are the executors of the deceased estate.
We made contact with Absa and Absa Trust and still to this day they haven't managed to provide us with constructive feedback. We do no have a letter of authority from the High Court since the Will has not yet been sent to them and we have not been informed of what duties Absa Trust as executors will be performing as and who will be assisting us thereof.
My dad passed away for almost 7 weeks and we still haven't been assisted. His bank accounts have not been frozen nor any of his other accounts or debit orders stopped.
It is really disgusting considering that they are going to be paid for the service as executors which to date has been nothing short of ill-treatment, shockingly poor and downright unprofessional. We get transferred from one person to another without any fruitful assistance. To our knowledge when we queried Absa Trust about the will at their custody they went as far as disputing not having the latest will but it turns out we had the original copy cos Absa trust did not make a cop, which is HORRIFIC in my case due to the nature and sensitivity of this document
