Motor Finance Corporation
Debt collectors costs

I was 2 months behind on my car installment because I was unemployed and my husband lost his job. I sent them emails every month if I wouldn't be able to pay on time. the last one they "didn't" receive and as Murphy has it my laptop crashed and I lost all my emails to prove that I have sent it and ofcourse they have no record of it. they deducted the only R1000 I had left for the month (keeping in mind that I have a baby). I phoned them to ask why theyn deducted it and they explained that they have the right to do that if payments are behind. I left it there, the next day I got a call from debt collectors (rudest people alive), i told them I made arrangements with mfc and I will pay one month's installment immediatly and the rest at the end of the month. they didn't want to accept it! I eventually made arrangements with MFC which they accepted but now they are charging me R930 for debt collectors costs - so I need to pay R930 for 1 phone call made to me for a car that wasn't even 3 month's behind on payments and an email they "didn't" receive. if I wasn't in financial problems I would've been up to date with payment but now I have to out another R930! i think its unfair!!!
