I had to take the long road back after losing my job about 3 years ago. I paid back all my creditors but 2 years of abuse and intimidation from creditors left a bad credit record behind.
During very bad times i opened up a savings account with FNB becuase my current back refused to do further business with me. In the 3 years that followed the account was managed exceptionally and when i found a new job my salary was depositied in this account without failure. I have since redeemed myself and i am earning a very good salary. We have decided to invest in a family home again. In light of my relationship with FNB they were my first and preferred point of call.
I submitted a general online inquiry stating my wish to buy a house and asked whether FNB could assist me in this regard.
The response "The information obtained from the credit bureau states that your score represents a higher than acceptable risk to the bank and/or you may have accounts on record with a negative status."
Do i not at lest deserve a phonecall - after all i am an account holder - if not my bank, are you asking me to go somewhere else. What happened to all the humans.. has personall business become so clinical
