After a lot of nagging from MIWay for 2 months to change my insurer to them, i decided yo do so in April. My cover was for 28-April going forward. End April my cover was supposed to commence and unfortunately i had a car accident 1 May. I lodged the claim on the 2nd of May. When i called i was told everything is fine on their side in terms of cover. I later received an sms from MiWay the following week saying they didnt recieve my premium and and i am not covered period 28/04 - 29/04 of which at the time i had not known it was unpaid. i called the number provided. they reinstated my cover and a premium went off 2 days later. A week later i get an assesor assigned to my case and he comes and tells me they will not pay because i was not covered. I desputed to this with their desputes department and after their investigation they still made reference to the initial calls of joining and the fact that i was not covered. no reference to the fact that i had called when lodging the claim to find out if everything was ok.
