First National Bank
Beware: FNB Fixed Deposit Plan is a Rip-Off

My Dad invested R150 000 with FNB last year 2012/05, with the maturity date of 2013/05, I went with him to the bank to invest that money, and we were told that the investment will earn 7% interest and will futher earn another 2% if he does not withdraw any money within 12 months. Unfortunately he passed on 2012/12. Then my mother went to FNB to try and reinvest that money for my younger sister's education and she was told that she will receive only receive R20 000 less from the intial invested amount. So, she will be given R130 000 and was told that the R20 000 was for admin fee. So, this means my dad paid R20 000 to invest money with FNB. What happened to the 9% he was promised. FNB is taking food out of people's mouth. My dad worked so hard for his children to have good education and a bright future and FNB just robbed his youngest child of that bright future.
