Waiting for more than a month for authorisation

On 7 May, my 77-year-old mother was involved in a car accident with another car which was reported to the SAPS. We understood everything was in order and waited until 3 June when I phoned them and spoke to Rivhuwani. She gave all stories about how the SAPS were not allowed to give the details of the other driver, they had to do an ITC check on me and verify whether the accident really happened. They have photos of the car from the panelbeater. I later spoke to Karen who disputed all that was said by Rivhuwani. She was to give authorisation to the panelbeater that was to call me to arrange towing of the car. Karen told me they were to allocate the claim to another employee as the other one who had decided it was not urgent nor important was off-sick. My mom told me she was told to submit a sketch of the MVA. As I write this, the car is still parked at our home. My mom has to travel by taxis as the car is not driveable after the wheels are out of alignment. Why did I insure with Miway if my mom was to walk all this time in such cold weather? I can be of no help to her as we stay 3 hours apart. Why have I been paying premiums religiously if I wanted to be treated this pathetic?
