A waste of time and money

A week ago a storm broke the glass in our sliding doors - we phoned Nedgroup Insurers immediately, from whom we have never claimed and told them. The glass was broken, door fringing too, and there were 60km/h winds and torrential rain outside. The consultant we spoke to assured us that someone from PG Glass would call us that day and come, inspect and repair the damage. He confirmed our waiver and that was that. Now more than a week and 5 calls later the buck has been passed so many times we have almost given up. Platinum insurance, what an absolute joke. Probably the worst customer service we have had in 5 years. Thousands of Rands of premiums, premium increases and the constant promise of 24/7 service have landed us with nothing more than the number for the head office, office hours and the name Emily... And not a single returned call or update. Maybe it's time we started working our way up the hierarchy to find where the buck finally stops... The damage to the door has worsened, the glass is just hanging in and moisture has gotten into the wood... Thanks for nothing NedGroup Insurance.
