I took up an offer from my cheque account for a Blackberry 9380 smartphone in August. From the time it was delivered to me I have had endless problems with it, I never could hear the person on the other side, when i used my apps it kept getting stoned, causing the battery to get hot and dying, since the nature of my job i had to just keep rebooting and using the phone. I did eventually get so fed up i started using my old blackberry 8520 (some upgrade) as a phone. When i then switch the 9380 on the screen went black, it stayed this way for a few days and it then came back on. I then just decided i had enough!!!

My complaint is that when i called FNB they said i should take it to a cell c store to book in for repairs, when i got to the store i did explain to the woman that i have had numerous issues with the phone and i don't want it back, i am willing to pay a difference for a more trustworthy cellphone. She then stated that they would have to assess the phone. Under CPA regulations this phone has not served its purpose and will not except it back. it is unfortunate that FNB offers this to their customers but they are not willing to do the aftersales and customer service.
