I went into the overport branch on the 16th or 17th may and stood in the enquiries line for quiet a while until a 3rd staff member came to alleviate the queue. Ms Phumla Sithole assisted me with my queries, she was calm and patient. I was surprised as i closed my business account and my wife just closed her cheque account at Absa, due to the lack of Absa not keeping in line with the latest banking trends - staff at Absa are great - from Vincent, Molly, Nazneen (always there to assist) Kay, and im sure the other staff are good at what they do. Ms Phumla went that extra mile to assit in my queries, i was going to Cape Town and needed to sort my credit card and some statements done, well done to her, her attititude was great, she even called the absa contact centre and did queries on my behalf. I could not believe this service, Ms Phumla im sure someday if you remain in the banking sector you will be an excellent manageress. You are calm, patient, friendly and very professional in what you do. Thanks you for the excellent service...
