Capitec Bank
Inability to draw savings from shops

At 16 00 I shopped at Pick n Pay. and tried to draw R3000.00. Three times declined. I went to Capitec at Zevenwacht where I opened the saving account in February 2013. I was attended too and found out the limit was R1000.00 I asked them to up to the maximum daily limit of R5000.00.. On completion I find out we are locked in the bank as they were filling up their ATM. This made me angry as this is the first time in 30 years i ever across a practice like this, when one cannot leave the bank. About 15 minutes later I asked when will the doors be opened. This is when the Manager Warren had a bit of an attitude with me. He said if I did not like their system, I can take my money and go elsewhere. I said ok, give me my R17000 that is in the bank and he then says he cannot give me the cash, but he can transfer it. The doors then opened and I went to Spars to shop and draw the cash of R3000. However when I get to the cashier once again my transaction is declined. I go back to Capitec to complain, they then blame Spars. I had to darw the cash in the bank. this charge is R4.30 as compared to Spars of R1.00. When I asked the Manager his surname he declined as he said I do not need it.
