Yesterday I recieved an sms at 12:11pm from African bank referring to my furniture statement fee and balance owed R14752. Today i went into store to settle the full amount owing to African bank and was asked to pay a settlement fee of R15398.49 which is R646.49 more than what they had sent to me via sms the day before, when I spoke to a consultant over the phone about my confusion of how??!!! this amount could go up in one day he proceeded to tell me that it was because of interest!! and couldnt make sense of why he then proceeded to not answer my query but told me to get a caculator and work it out! after all of this he says the interest rate and rand value are not strong! utter rubbish because what has that got to do with me wanting to pay amount they had sent me day before. I payed the R15398.49 because i wanted to close account but I am extremely angry because of false statement and lack of knowledge on consultants side
