I have had an overdraft on my cheque account for many years and last year March I was retrenched and being a white male aged 36. I have struggled to find work and even though unemployed made arrangements to pay each month an amount and have never missed a payment to the said account. Next thing I know the legal department of ABSA contacted me saying that I must pay more and that they refuse to take the original amount agreed on saying that was the call centre and they in the legal department. I feel that the way ABSA Bank has handled this matter is of utmost disrespect towards me and my circumstances and will definitely never recommend anybody to use one of your products ever.
