Credit card cancellation delay

On the 03 of may i was at absa branch in newton park port elizabeth where i paid my outstanding amount of my credit card, after continuous problems at the bank and having to make 3 deposits due to poor communication from the cancellations department i managed to settle the account.the consultant at the pe branch then phoned the cancellations department where she spoke to a mr johash nair at 12:09 who confirmed that the balance is now settled and that he will close my credit card accont and that one of their consultants will make contact with me just to assure that i want to close the account. Today is the 23 of may 2013 and i have not heard from them since that day.all i got from absa is another statement containing another outstanding amount and confirming that on 01 june the normal debit order will be deducted.i am not satisfied at all with absa's poor service delivery
