At the end of April two of my factory guys after receiving their salary went to Checkers to purchase some groceries. A couple days later they discovered that the store had in fact taken the same amount off 3 times on the day they purchased their goods. When seeing this they went back to the store and were told that they have emailed this through to ABSA back and there is nothing more they can do. They then went to ABSA Primrose to report this and were told ABSA could do nothing. They then came to me for assistance as they work on the line all day and don't have access to the telephone. I then tried to firstly find the number for the Primrose branch but only got a customer service number. I then emailed customer services who would not help me. Only that the 2 guys must go to the branch themselves. They have already been to the branch and have received NO help at all.
I think this is disgusting that a banks customer cannot be at least directed to the correct person so they can get their money back.
