Pay Out Delay

I have contacted old mutual finance in September 2012, to surrender an investment policy only to find out that it has matured. All the documentations (ID copy, bank statement and proof of residence) where supplied to the consultant and my signature was appended as requested. I was told that documents will forwarded to Cape Town Office for further processing. The pay out is not yet paid into my account till today (17 January 2013).

I did follow ups with the Rustenburg Office next to checkers and the response recieved is that I must wait for 48 hours but its now 5 months and nothing has happened. The money was planned to assist with debts, as my partner was suspended for two months without pay. Please assist.
