WAY OF DOING BUSINESS

ABSA debited my account for R5700 when my AVAF d/o is R4500.
They said that i did not respond to a request to supply them with insurance. So they decided to add their own insurance. This d/o was bulked. Is that even legal, what if i did not have enough money in my account, will ABSA be liable for my credit history been altered, i intend on buying a house in the next few months.
When the vehicle was released from the dealership right up to now has had the same insurance and same policy number. So if ABSA wanted to find out if the vehicle had insurance why not look at the same confirmation and confirm with the insurance co. They said that someone contacted me requesting my insurance... but i will not give my i.d number to someone who calls me from a private number??? WILL YOU???...that was when the call ended. I need my refund. i can afford to wait 7 days but there are plenty people who can not, so ABSA needs to be more realisitc with their marketing tricks... never again will i do business with AVAF i rather pay 1% more interest with a competitor than to be treated like puppet when a product provider has the authority to pull all the strings and do whatever they want...
