Hi, in the beginning of 2013 i fell into a bit of arrears with my Standard Bank Credit card. I made arrangements to have this paid but unfortunately could not make the payment on time. Three days ago i received a deposit into my market linked account from a friend. Even though most of these funds belonged to me a certain portion beionged to someone else. I then proceeded to transfer the funds from my account and with R1100 remaining Standard Bank decided to deduct my FULL arrears amoutn on my credit card! R3052 What then happened was a few of the transfers i made came back returned even though payment confirmations was emailed through. How is this possible on a Market linked account??? As of today my Market linked account is R2000 in arrears and i have 5 returned PAYMENTS on the account (Not returned Debit Orders) Just deducting amoutns when Standard Bank seems fit is ridiculous and thats the reason i opened an FnB account yesterday! After 20 years this is the service i get from this joke of a bank!
