I drove over rocks in Jan 29 and car got taken to panel beaters. Feb 11 I got it back and just the mags tyres was replaced. Took ABSA insurance 13 days to do that. I then had to take my car to another company for wheel alignment and told me there was damage to the steering rack and could do it for R900. I refused and left. Spoke to good hope tyres to do it at the end of April. 19 April the lower control arm snapped and the car lifted of the ground from the left side. My fiance got hurt in the process and when I called ABSA to sort it out I had to wait for 30min, so that the tow truck services can remove it that was on the scene. A week later I got a call that they want to open a new claim as nothing was done my car yet and I demanded to speak to the manager of that department. We drove in a residential road at 20:00 and the wheel snaped of. Having witnesses and photo's of the damage and the road we drove in, ABSA insists that we hit a curb or a rock on the road and that caused the damages. What was done by them to avoid these things. A lower control arm don't just snap of. The strongest part of a car. I need clarity on this, cos I feel This could've been avoided by ABSA.
