Trouble opening an account for deceased estate

Hi,

My mother passed away on 30 january. We received documents 15th april and a couple of days later our executor tried to open an account for the estate. As you can imagine there is bills to be paid and month end passed already. I can not understand what is the problem and why can we not open an account. And why is it taking such a long time to sort this out?

The service we are receiving from the bank my mother used for years and years is shocking to say the least.

What are we supposed to do? We submitted all the necessary legal documents.

The bank is just adding extra stress to an already grief stricken family. It is really uncalled for.
