Some of us don't get time to go to the bank unless totally necessary, on the 25th I went to Nedbank Town square in Roodepoort and wanted to stop a debit order, as I culd not do it online and had called the call centre a few days prior and said I wanted to stop a debit (they said nothing about 10 days) when I got to branch in town square and Indian lady at enquires said I wouldn't be able to stop a debit that was coming off the next day, I had cancelled a contract and didn't want them to debit. I'd been with FNB for years and could stop debits online at anytime, so I didn't understand the logic of quote 'let it go off and come back to the branch on Monday and we'll reverse it' Really! in this day and age. I subsequently withdraw all my money and when the bonifide debits came off which were in access of R3k, I deposited the R1000 short fall as it was overdrawn. Now I got a call from a RUDE Peter saying they were going to return a debit for my insurance from the 25th that had already been paid for by the R1000 I deposited, instead of the R4300. Do that and I'm taking my money elsewhere. Awaiting your speedy response. And answer to why I can't stop debits on online banking.
