I buy shares through ABSA Stockbrokers. I am banking with ABSA, and I decided to use ABSA Stockbrokers because I thought (wrongly it seems) that transfer of money from my account to ABSA Stockbrokers will be easy an quick. I transfered an amount of R3000 from my cheque account to ABSA Stockbrokers on 3 April 2013 and send a Proof of Payment immediately to them. However, the amount did not reflect in my Stockbroker account on April 2013, and I sent an email to the Contact Us email address [Email Removed] There was no response to my email; I resend the email on 28 April 2013 and eventually received an email back from them (30 April 2013), giving their sincere apologies and the commitment to forward my query to the accounts department.
I am appalled that it is taking so long to transfer money to ABSA Stockbrokers; not what you would expect from ABSA!!
