So where do I start with my endless frustration with the so called "Trusted Capitec". Firstly I opened an account with Capitec in November 2012 to apply for a loan. I was told that I should have my salary deposited into my Capitec account because it would cost me less on bank charges, thank the Lord I didn't go for that option. The consultant who assisted me at the time informed me of all the benefits of having a loan with Capitec i.e. "Free loan cover when you are retrenched". So I was retrenched in April 2013 and was informed that it would take up to 60 days for the documents to be assessed, and I would still be liable for he payments within this period. Nowhere under the loan agreement contract does it stipulate the turn around time and that you would be liable for the payment. How do you guys expect me to continue paying when I no longer have a income. I'm taking this up with the consumer protection act. I just wish I could write more about my complaint but I'm running out of characters.
