I am utterly disgusted and completely disappointed with the false advertisement portrayed in the "Le Premier Restaurant" deal, advertised by Groupon on the 28 January.
I had always presumed that Groupon was a trusted company that provided high class services and product; oh how I was mistaken. A spur of the moment decision led me to purchase a 3 course deal which group described as "fine dining at its finest" and continued to say "Treat yourself to sophisticated sustenance". I believed that this would be a great way to celebrate my 2 year anniversary.
On arrival my expectations were quickly squashed. The restaurant had plastic chairs, flimsy table clothes and broken outside tables/chairs. The music was blaring, it felt as if we had just walked into a night club that still needed cleaning from the night before. We decided to give it a shot and order a drink to start. My boyfriend ordered a beer which arrived in a can and a plan water glass - really, you call this fine dining.
Groupon's advertisement painted an image of elegance, only to be confronted with a complete opposite. I have not received a response from Groupon. They ruined my anniversary and I expect to be reimbursed.
