Req #127663. I bought a Groupon that was valid until 24 Dec '13. From the start of Dec I tried to make an appointment with the supplier, but there was no answer. I called Atterbury Value Mart's management and they confirmed that the salon closed down. I sent a mail to Groupon on 17 Dec requesting a refund. They replied and said I should try again the following week or week after, but the voucher expired on 24 Dec?! I replied and explained the situation again. Received another unsatisfactory reply on 18 Dec. On 23 Dec Guhan Manishankar replied: I have now refunded the amount of R365.00 back to your method of payment. The money was still not in my account on 10 Jan '14 and I sent another mail. Got a reply on 11 Jan: I checked and found that we have issued refund to you on 23.12.2013. Unfortunately, the refund is failed. Given the circumstances that led to your request, I am happy to process a full refund in Groupon credits. I said that I don't want Groupon credits, I want my cash back. Reply on 18 Jan: Unfortunately, it's not possible for us to issue cash refund at this stage. This is unacceptable as I will not be buying a Groupon ever again because of the pathetic service!!!
