Groupon and the Brazen Head Fourways had a promotion from the 3/11/2013 to 29/1/2014 for a dinner for four. We made a reservation for 14 in total to see some musician on 30/12/2013.
When I presented my meal voucher a manager was called. He told us the voucher was invalid, when I asked him to show me why, as the fine print on the voucher said it was valid. He told me if I didn't like it I could leave! I asked for his name and to see a superior. He refused to give me his name and called a superior. The superior was equally unhelpful and rude. He also refused to tell me his name.
The first manager I found out is Mr Ian Vendables, the other manager Mr Pieter Fourie, why did they refuse to give their names? DODGY PEOPLE & PLACE
We paid R350 for a supposed R669 meal. There is no such valued meal on the menu, so they inflated the meal value and then did not honour their offer on top! RIP-OFF!
We were treated like inferior customers, and my family and friends where very embarrassed by the whole scene.
I would be very reluctant to use Groupon for anything, especially a trip or something valuable. Their merchants can change their minds and treat you any way they like when you arrive!
