I recently bought a groupon deal for the Jewel of India in Cape Town for my husband and I to celebrate his Birthday. The deal is a 3 course meal apparently is worth R546, and I paid R273.
The Fine Print:
"Excludes seafood platter for two. Lamb and chicken is boned. "
The deal also says:
"Jewel of India invites diners to peruse the menu for any starter, main and dessert that tickles their fancy and soft underbelly."
Notice it says "ANY"
We were really dissapointed when we were ready to order only to find out by the waiter that we were very limited to what we could order in the starter, main and desert menus.
I felt so bad as this was a gift to my husband on his Birthday.
We did not expect to order the sea food platter as it did say it was NOT part of the deal but the waiter told us that we could not order any fish on their menu, we were limited to breads and menus were taken away and we were given a set desert.
I am very dissapointed at Groupon as this was fake advertising on their behalf and I would have NEVER purchased this deal had I known we were so limited in fact I think we paid more for the deal as I do not think we received our moneys worth of food.
Very unpleasant!!!
