I saw a washing machine advertised by Game and phoned the Greenacres branch to find out if they had stock. The salesman assured me he had 3 left and then I asked him if I would get my 10% pensioner's discount. His reply was 'Yes, ma'am'. I live out of town and sent my son to purchase the machine. Suddenly all we received was R110, 10 discount, instead of R289, 99. I phoned the manager, Mr Joseph, who told me to bring the paperwork in. Once again my son took it in and his reply was 'this is the maximum discount allowed.'
I would have purchased another machine from a different supplier for a better price if I had been given the correct information regarding the discount. I am very disappointed in Game and feel that their staff should be educated sufficiently to answer questions regarding discount allowed on items. This is not the way to treat customers!
