I received the attached communication on 2 December from ADT indicating that they will charge an additional fee for "false alarm" callouts to my home. The very next day I called ADT and arrange for a technician to come to my home to sort out the issue, at a cost of R500. They even charged this costs incorrectly as R551.29! The work was then done by the technician on 11/12/13. We left on holiday on 16/12/13 and the problem of the alarm sending out a false signal continued. Therefore the issue was not fixed by the technician on 11/12/13.
While on holiday I received calls again from ADT that the alarm is going off again, which appear to be false alarms and clearly indicated that the issue was not fixed by ADT. I then organized another technician to come to my home on 31/12/13 to fix whatever they have not fixed previously. While speaking to consultant while on holiday he clearly indicated to me that I WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THESE ADDITIONAL CALL OUT FEES, as per your correspondence 2/12/13. ADT did not fix the problem before I went on holiday and I cannot be liable for those costs.
Alternatively, you pay back the R500 that I paid for the technician and I will settle the R57.
